For the launch of New Balance's Furon v8 boot, we harnessed Eberechi Eze's passion for chess, pairing him in a face-off with the world's greatest ever grandmaster, Magnus Carlsen.

The film pays homage to a 19th-century match called "The Opera Game", played at the Salle Ventadour in Paris. The Furon is a boot built for pace; we reframed the idea that speed is always physical, tapping into Eze's elegant, graceful style of play. The result was a film seen across the world.
